Many people are aware of the health benefits of negative ions and know that they are essential for our health and well being.
We all know the fresh, invigorating air you can find with a trip to the coast or a mountain peak, or once the air has been cleared by a thunderstorm. Ionised air has been found to substantially reduce the level of airborne bacteria indoors. An eminent experimental pathologist and microbiologist at the University of California, Dr. Albert Krueger, found that just a small number of negative ions can kill bacteria.
Scientific tests have discovered the optimum level of negative ions in the air should usually be between 1000-1500/cm3. Tests show the measure of negative ions for the following situations:
200/cm3 - A closed room with several people in it.
4000/cm3 - Ordinary, fresh country air up to 10.000
Up to 10,000/cm3 - Near strong surf or close to a waterfall
Under 100/cm3 in major cities during the rush hour
